Enlighten Me !

Today we still use many great ideas from powerful thinkers. One of the thinkers is Montequieu who thought it was unfair to all that only one person decided the laws and rules of how the country ran. Montequieu suggested that there should be many different branches of goverment to make decisions. Here in 2009, we have 3 different branches for the goverment. Another great thinker is Diderot since he is the one that invinted a great book called the Encyclopedia which had 28 volumes. The Encyclopedia explains ideas of various topics. Today, there are many new resources that have been invinted. The internet is one resource which is a more faster and sufficent way to get accurate information. Although, students, teachers and many others use Encyclopedia's to get information for all different types of research. Next there was Smith, which thought that the goverment should not be involved with any business affairs. The only thing that the goverment was involoved in was the health issues that may follow a new product. This still continues to day in many places of work such as : shoe departments, clothing departments, and even resturants. Lastly, Locke had the great idea that all people have natural rights. Natural rights include life, property and liberty. When someone is born they all have freedom, freedom of speech, the property they own can not just be taken from underneath them, and the way someone chooses to live their lives is their own business unless it is breaking a law of some sort.

Nasty Sarah Douglas High School (Spanish II)

Mi escuela ideal sería llamado "Nasty Sarah Douglas High School".

Me pone enferma. Tu aliento huele tan mal solo que me da ganas de vomitar. Lo siento mucho que tenía que terminar de esta manera. Por favor, sólo me haga favor de no llamar o texto mí.

Could It Be?! Asclepius?

Everyday people are in need for some sort of health related treatment. So those people go to local hospitals and receive medication. Sometimes there is nothing that can even be given for the sickness. Lately, we've had many concerns and questions about the Swine Flu. Questions that have physicians baffled. In early Greece, there were only gods known as "healers". Out of a few, there was a Greek god named Asclepuis.

Asclepuis did not begin as a god, but was a historical figure known for his healing abilities. Those who were in need, placed Asclepuis in their prayers. Ceremonies were held for healing the unhealed in homes and temples. Asclepuis' powers were so great, that those who needed healing would make sites to pray, sacrifice and deliver monetary gifts. Some days people would stay over night in the temples.
In present day, people have to face the fear of death just because they are financially unstable. The Swine Flu has been spread across all of Mexico and has been scattered around locations here in the U.S. It is not only contagious, but highly fatal.  Politicians have even talked of shutting down schools. Some of those who agree, even question their child's health in their own household .

In my personal opinion, I believe that life for everyone would be a much more peaceful place as well as less complicated if things were just that easy. For one to just be able to pray upon some god or goddess and whom ever asking for the prayer would no longer have to suffer. "Now don't we all wish there was a present-day Asclepius?"
